Lew has been practicing law on Main Street in Yarmouth since 1981. He graduated from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana in 1974 and from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire in 1979.

His practice focuses primarily on real estate, corporate and probate law. Lew serves as counsel to many corporations and limited liability companies. These businesses range in size from one or two to 100 employees.

He lives in North Yarmouth and has been active for many years as both a member and chairman of the North Yarmouth Conservation Commission. He has also served on the North Yarmouth Comprehensive Plan Committee and on the North Yarmouth Future Land Committee. At the present time, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Island Commons, the assisted living home on Chebeague Island.

John has practiced law in Maine since 1980. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut in 1975 and graduated from its law school in 1979. He has developed a strong interest in working with Maine families. John has represented hundreds of individuals during separation and divorce, and he continues to make this the focus of his practice.

His involvement in this area includes mediation, alternative dispute resolution, negotiation and, when necessary, litigation in all family matters, including divorce, rights of unmarried parents, visitation, child support, and protective proceedings.

In addition to family law, John practices in the areas of landlord/tenant relations and the law of wills and estates. For the past 25 years, John has lived with his family in South Portland, Maine. He is an active member of his church and has served with various school and civic organizations.
